Daniel Anjorin has been identified by the Metropolitan Police as the teenager tragically killed in an incident that left four others injured. A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of his murder and is currently in the hospital.
Daniel, a Year 9 student at Bancroft’s School in Woodford Green, tragically lost his life in the attack. The school, which was also attended by another victim of a separate attack, has lowered its flag to half-mast in memory of Daniel.
The incident occurred when a man crashed his van into a house fence, leading to multiple stabbings. The police responded promptly and arrested the suspect within 12 minutes of the initial call. The officers faced resistance during the arrest, with one female officer almost losing her hand in the process.
The attacker managed to flee briefly but was later surrounded and tasered by officers. He was apprehended and taken to the hospital for injuries sustained during the incident. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working diligently to gather evidence and statements from witnesses.
