Violent 42-hour Period in London Marked by Stabbings and Shooting

Incidents that Newsquest London is aware of and has reported on between May 10 and 11 occurred in Lambeth, Limehouse, and Ilford. Information on these incidents is sourced from the Metropolitan Police.

An 18-year-old boy was hospitalized after a stabbing in Ilford on May 10 at 5.40pm on Richmond Road. Police responded to the incident, finding the teenager injured. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and no arrests have been made.

In Limehouse, a 14-year-old boy was hospitalized after a stabbing on Beccles Street just after 6.50pm on May 11. Police found the injured boy, and he was taken to the hospital. His current condition is unknown, and no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

Tragically, a man in his 20s died following a shooting in Lambeth. Medical staff alerted officers after the man was brought to the hospital by car at 2.30am on May 11. Despite efforts, he passed away half an hour later. Detectives believe the shooting occurred on the Westbury Estate in St Rule Street. The man’s family is receiving support from specialized officers, and police investigations are ongoing with no arrests made at this time.
