Pedestrian Fatally Injured in Wood Green Car Accident; Four Individuals Arrested

Emergency services responded to a car-pedestrian collision in the early hours of the morning on May 12, at the junction of Risley Avenue and The Roundway in Wood Green. Despite efforts from Metropolitan Police officers and the London Ambulance Service, a man in his 40s was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

The family of the deceased has been notified and is receiving support from specialized officers. Four individuals who were reportedly traveling in the car at the time of the collision have been taken into custody on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, according to Scotland Yard.

Inquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Witnesses or individuals with relevant dashcam footage are urged to contact the police at 101, quoting CAD 473/12may. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be provided to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
