Olsi Kuka tragically lost his life when a group of men forcibly entered his flat off Whetstone High Road in search of drugs and money. The brutal attack occurred on May 11, 2022, resulting in the 30-year-old sustaining multiple stab wounds and metal ball-bearings in his scalp.

During the trial at the Old Bailey, it was revealed that a group of men arrived at Olsi’s residence in two Mercedes vehicles at 3 am on the fateful day. They broke into his home, launched a vicious assault on him, and proceeded to ransack the premises in their quest for illicit substances and cash.

Emergency services were summoned to the scene after the assailants fled, but sadly, Olsi succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter. The post-mortem examination indicated that at least two different knives and an air gun were used in the attack.

Through the utilization of CCTV footage and mobile phone data, law enforcement successfully identified the five individuals involved in the heinous crime. Notably, one of the Mercedes had been used for surveillance of Olsi’s flat days before the fatal incident.

Monty, a police dog, played a crucial role in uncovering £8,000 hidden inside the bed’s headboard, serving as vital evidence in securing convictions in the case. Reuben Bernard was found guilty of Olsi’s murder, while Daige Ramsey, Santana Thompson, and Ozan Seran were convicted of manslaughter. Additionally, Bulent Bakir was convicted on charges of conspiracy to commit robbery.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil Rawlinson condemned the vicious and premeditated nature of the attack, stating that the perpetrators were willing to resort to extreme violence to achieve their nefarious goals. The sentencing of all five men is scheduled to take place at the Old Bailey at a later time.
