Transport for London (TfL) is in alignment with the Mayor’s Transport Strategy, which aims for 80 percent of journeys to be made by foot, bike, or public transport by 2041. Currently, TfL operates a fleet of approximately 9,300 buses covering 675 different routes.

The latest timetable adjustments have been implemented to better match demand, provide cost-effective services, and enable TfL to invest in outer London.

Effective from Saturday, May 11, various temporary timetable changes have been introduced on several bus routes to accommodate construction works and improve journey times. For example:
– Route 16 will now operate more frequently, with buses running every 11 minutes during weekdays and every 13 minutes during evenings and Sundays.
– Route 98 will have increased frequency, with buses every 8-9 minutes on weekdays and every 11-13 minutes on weekends.
– Route 110 will revert to running every 15 minutes.
– Route 120 will see changes in frequency during peak and off-peak hours to assist with ongoing works in Southall.
– Route 184 will have buses running every 11-16 minutes, and a specific school journey will be withdrawn.
– Route 206 and route 316 will operate at adjusted frequencies to aid in completing journeys smoothly during construction activities.
– Route 419 will return to its regular schedule.
– Route 427 will operate more frequently to facilitate works in Southall.
Additionally, route 481 will have minor schedule adjustments and will be operated by Metroline. Route 485 will have new summer timetables, and route E9 will return to its standard schedule.

Moreover, there are long-term diversions affecting multiple routes, including 57, 65, 71, 81, 85, 110, 111, 131, 153, 213, 216, 222, 281, 285, 350, 360, 371, 394, 406, 411, 418, 452, 465, 481, 671, 698, C1, E2, K1, K2, K3, K4, K5, N21, N65, N87, N137, R68, R70, U1, U3, and U5.
