Yuliyan Dimov, a resident of Enfield, was investigated following a woman’s report of sexual assault during a massage at her residence in November 2022. Subsequently, authorities reached out to other women who had appointments with Dimov. One woman, who had reported him the previous year but withdrew her complaint, reconnected with the investigation upon learning she was not his sole victim.
During a police interview, Dimov refuted the allegations, despite authorities discovering over 30 undisclosed photographs of various women on his phone. More women came forward after authorities contacted all of Dimov’s female clients. The 45-year-old Bulgarian national was apprehended at Gatwick Airport while trying to board a one-way flight to his home country.
Despite mounting evidence, Dimov insisted the photos of the women were solely for professional use on his massage website. He appeared at Wood Green Crown Court on May 2 and was found guilty of six counts of voyeurism, two counts of attempted voyeurism, nine counts of sexual assault, and three counts of sexual assault against ten victims in total.
Detective Constable Abigail Butler, the lead investigator on the case, emphasized Dimov’s exploitation of trusting and vulnerable women. She praised the women’s courage in coming forward and encouraged any additional potential victims to reach out for assistance.
Dimov is scheduled to be sentenced at Wood Green Court on June 28.
