Officers responded to a call at Willoughby Lane in Tottenham around 11:30 pm on March 13 regarding a fight outside RK Mini Market. At the scene, they discovered a man in his 20s with a stab wound to his leg. He was quickly taken to the hospital, where it was determined that his injuries were not life-threatening. He was discharged two days later.
Investigating detectives have obtained CCTV footage showing three suspects exiting a blue Vauxhall Corsa while the victim sought refuge inside the shop. The suspects then forcibly entered the off-licence by breaking the glass front door. Once inside, one of the suspects used a flick knife to repeatedly stab the victim.
A 20-year-old man was apprehended the following day and charged with affray and possession of a bladed article. Authorities are now seeking help in identifying two remaining suspects, both described as of Asian descent and dressed in dark clothing. These individuals were last seen heading toward Northumberland Park station.
Detective Constable William Darko, heading the investigation, stressed the importance of community assistance in bringing these suspects to justice. He urged anyone with relevant information to come forward and help combat knife crime, highlighting its destructive impact on lives. Individuals are encouraged to contact the police at 101, quoting reference CAD 8095/13MAR24. If the suspects are sighted, the public is advised not to approach them but to call 999 immediately.
