Boy dies after being stabbed at Thurlow Gardens in Hainault

East Area commander Stuart Bell provided an update this morning regarding a tragic incident at Thurlow Gardens. Reports came in that a man wielding a sword had been arrested after a vehicle crashed into a house, prompting a response from Metropolitan Police officers before 7 am. Upon arrival, officers found multiple casualties, some with stab wounds. Five individuals, including three members of the public and two police officers, were taken to the hospital for treatment. Tragically, a 13-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries after being stabbed. The injured parties include two officers requiring surgery but are expected to recover. The suspect, a 36-year-old man, was apprehended at the scene following police intervention within 22 minutes of the initial incident report.
