London Lions Showcase Outstanding Performance During All-Star Game at Copper Box Arena

The first-ever women’s All-Star Game ended with a victory for the South team, defeating the North with a score of 99-81 in a highly competitive matchup. Temi Fagbenle of the London Lions shined brightest during the game, earning the Most Valuable Player award for her impressive performance of 20 points, eight rebounds, and one assist. Reflecting on her experience, the GB Olympian mentioned that she had a great time participating in the game, which turned out to be more competitive and enjoyable than she had expected.

On the men’s side, the All-Star Game was a thrilling spectacle filled with spectacular dunks, three-point shots, and remarkable plays that entertained the enthusiastic crowd. The South emerged victorious with a final score of 149-116 in an epic showdown. Former NBA star Sam Dekker and his teammates showcased their shooting skills, contributing to the South’s double triumph. The game witnessed a return after 13 years, with each player on the court playing a crucial role in the captivating exhibition.

South’s captain Teddy “Buckets” Allen led his team by example, delivering an outstanding performance with over 30 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Allen’s exceptional display earned him the MVP title and solidified his reputation as one of the top players in the BBL. The atmosphere at the event was electrifying, with fans adding to the excitement and enjoyment of the players.

Additionally, the All-Star event featured the traditional three-point and slam dunk contests, showcasing some of the league’s top talents. London Lions’ Matt Morgan emerged victorious in the three-point contest, while Josh Sharma, another standout player from the London Lions, claimed the slam dunk title with an impressive display of athleticism.
