The Tottenham Hotspur Foundation recently organized a session as part of their half-term activities at the Duke’s Aldridge Academy, near the stadium. Juventus player Kulusevski expressed his appreciation for the initiative, stating, “I’m happy to see good people working for good things in life. I hope they’ll be coaches in the future, helping all levels of players to become better.” Kulusevski visited the ‘Spurred 2 Coach’ program, designed for young individuals interested in coaching, after participating in a training session at the stadium.
The program spans four days during school half-terms, where participants engage in workbook tasks before applying theory on the field. Andre Thomas, the foundation’s project co-ordinator, emphasized the impact of coaching on young people’s confidence, particularly in the football-loving communities of north London. Acknowledging the growing demand for coaches and the enduring passion for football, the foundation is supporting aspiring coaches by sponsoring their enrollment in an FA coaching qualification course. Deki’s presence served as an inspiring endorsement for these youngsters, encouraging them to motivate others in the community through coaching.
