Boots pharmacy has committed to offering affordable lateral flow tests both in-store and online for individuals without symptoms. This initiative comes following the announcement of the Prime Minister’s plan for “living with Covid,” set to take effect on April 1, which involves discontinuing free testing for most people.

The lateral flow tests can be purchased online at £5.99 each or £17 for a pack of four, inclusive of delivery. In-store, single tests will be priced at £2.50, with a pack of four available for £12 at over 400 Boots stores.

Boots UK’s director of healthcare services, Asif Aziz, expressed satisfaction in expanding Covid-19 testing services with cost-effective options for asymptomatic individuals post-April 1. While welcoming a return to normalcy and adapting to life with Covid-19, Aziz emphasized the importance of customers and patients remaining vigilant to curtail the virus’s spread, particularly among vulnerable populations.
